Michael J. Durrschmidt has been selected for 17 years to the Super Lawyers list. He is an accomplished litigator and is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in business bankruptcy. He is rated an AV lawyer by Martindale and Hubbell and has been named to the “Super Lawyers” list since 2004 in the area of Bankruptcy and Workouts. Additionally, Michael has been voted and recognized by H Texas Magazine as a “Top Lawyer for the People” in February 2008 and as a “Houston’s Top Lawyer” in June 2008. He has also been recognized as a Houston “Top Lawyer” in the area of bankruptcy/debt law (Houstonia Magazine 2014-2016). As of September 2020, Pat became the current President of the Southwest Conference of Bank Counsel, and he has a long and successful career representing all sizes of banks in litigation, including depository operations litigation, UCC litigation, bank fraud litigation, credit reporting issues (FCRA claims), wrongful debt collection matters (FDCPA matters), wrongful foreclosure, annuity fraud, consumer/commercial loan defaults, and collection matters.
